I am leading a photography field trip for the Saskatoon Camera Club on August 11, 2020. Join us for an evening of leisurely photography walk along the shores of South Saskatchewan River. Please observe the appropriate COVID-19 rules for outdoor interaction with people who are not part of your regular “bubble”.
Date: Tuesday, 11 August 2020 from 18:30-21:30 p.m.
Place: Cosmopolitan Park, Saskatoon Sask.
What: a controlled public event hosted by the Saskatoon Camera Club
Join us for a nature-themed photo walk, starting at the south end of Cosmopolitan Park. We will meet at the Meewasin trail marker near the corner of Broadway / Saskatchewan Crescent East. You can park along the Saskatchewan Crescent or nearby residential neighbourhood. We will walk north along the river and photograph nature details in an urban park setting, and Saskatoon skyline on the other side of the river.
We will walk through some semi-thick park vegetation, pass under the University Bridge and then walk along a more open area with a good view of the river and downtown core. The trail is paved but could be rough in some areas. Please bring sturdy walking shoes, mosquito repellent, a macro lens, and any lenses that you normally use for landscape photography.
