Tipi rings in Grasslands National Park
Tipi (teepee) rings – a circle of stone remains where a teepee once stood, Grasslands National Park (West Block), Saskatchewan. I found this tipi ring at an exposed butte in southwestern corner of the West Block, right next to the Montana border. This location is still on a private land, and I had to obtain permission from the land owner to access the site and photograph there. The area will be incorporated in the Grasslands National Park if the rancher decides to sell his land to the Park. Back to the Grasslands National Park photo gallery.

Fog in the valley helped isolate the 70 Mile Butte so it appears as an island in the ocean of fog.
