Illustrated talk: Iceland – a Photographer’s Dream

I will be presenting an illustrated talk “Iceland – a Photographer’s Dream” for the Northern Image Photographers camera club on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 7 p.m. The presentation will be held at the Prince Albert Arts Centre, 1010 Central Avenue – the old opera house building in front of the City Hall in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

In the summer of 2012, I joined a group of 14 photographers on a photo tour of Iceland. This island country in northern Atlantic is relatively small, but offers an amazing array of opportunities for landscape photography: vast glaciers with calving icebergs, stark volcanic lava beds, bubbling hot mud pools and countless waterfalls. My presentation includes highlights from the trip, and tips for anyone planning to visit this fantastic photo destination.

I selection of images from the trip can be seen in the Iceland Photo Gallery.
