Photography tour: Falling for Colours in Prince Albert NP, Saskatchewan

September 19-21, 2014

The emphasis of this instructional photography tour is on nature photography of Prince Albert National Park landscapes and waterscapes. We will spend a weekend in one of the most spectacular places at the southern edge of the boreal forest at the peak of fall colours. You will harness your guide’s knowledge of the area to take you to first-class photographic locations to capture stunning images. As a participating instructor, Branimir will always be around to provide insightful tips and suggestions. You will be able to share your knowledge and experience with the group, and learn from other photographers during evening overview and photo critique sessions.

When: September 19-21, 2014

Photography tour highlights

We will have a short photography program after dinner with introduction to the area (see a gallery of images from Prince Albert NP). Evening  photography session on Friday will include capturing sunset and full moon only 20 minutes apart – the photographic potential is huge and you will be in just the right place for it!

After the Saturday morning on-location photography, we will depart after lunch for Anglin Lake (approximately 25 min drive) to do a bit of action photography; a photogenic dog sled team pulling dryland carts will be provided by Sundogs Sled Excursions. A model release from participating mushers will be secured and a copy given to each participant. If you do not wish to take part in this exercise, the surrounding area has a lot to offer for landscape photography.

Following the photography session on Sunday morning, we will go for an optional guided nature hike on a National Park trail with the Sundogs interpretive naturalists. And your camera, of course.

Trip itinerary and daily schedule are flexible, allowing us to adapt to environmental conditions and take advantage of rare opportunities that are presented to us.
