Photography tour to Croatia

There is only one month left to take advantage of the ‘early bird special’ rates for the 2015 Photography Tour to Croatia (September 28 – October 10, 2015). Renowned for its natural beauty and historical heritage, Croatia is rapidly gaining popularity as a travel destination. Join me in September of 2015 for a 13-day photography tour to some of the most beautiful natural and historic sites: we will visit and photograph six out of seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites present in the country. Croatia offers diverse culture, great food, ancient walled towns and medieval castles. We will visit baroque city of Varazdin, Veliki Tabor and Trakoscan castles, Roman amphitheatre in Pula (one of six largest surviving Roman arenas in the world) and finish our trip in the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ – the walled city of Dubrovnik. Our journey will take us through rugged mountains and natural jewels such as the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with 16 turquoise lakes, hundreds of inter-connected waterfalls, and spectacular karst formations. Here is a two-minute video with images from places we will explore on the tour (make sure the sound on your viewing device is turned on):   http://branimirphoto.ca/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Wonders_of_Croatia_web.mp4   Dates: September 28 – October 10, 2015 Group size: maximum of 15 participants Price: Cdn$ 2,950 (‘early bird’ rate until March 2, 2015) Single room supplement: Cdn$ 445 Deposit: Cdn$ 300 Tour fee includes: accommodation, ground transportation by van / bus with a driver, entrance fees to historic buildings & national parks, English-speaking local tour guides and meals as indicated in the itinerary, and photo tour fee. Lunches are left open so you are flexible to plan the meals to fit your schedule and interests. We will recommend the best places to sample the local cuisine. If requested, we will do our best to find a suitable roommate for individual travellers. What is not included: airfare to and from Croatia, travel insurance, any meals not included in the photo tour itinerary, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, and items of personal nature. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, and I will be on-hand to answer your questions at all times. Come with an open mind and a passion for photography and travel. Participants should be physically able to take part in walking tours around towns and fit to walk on boardwalks in national parks. Horse in pasture with sagebrush, Val Marie PFRA Community Pasture

I spent several hours photographing a group on horses near the Val Marie PFRA community pasture headquarters. This horse decided to run through a field of sagebrush to catch up with his buddies. Val Marie PFRA is the largest community pasture in Saskatchewan, containing over 41,256 hectares (101,946 acres) of magnificent native prairie. Frenchman River flows through the pasture, with rugged valley slopes adding to it’s photographic appeal. Together with the adjacent Beaver Valley PFRA pasture, there are over 200,000 acres (80,000 hectares) of un-interrupted native prairie. Something that even the nearby Grasslands National Park can not match. Return to the Saskatchewan photo...
