Waterfall dream, Plitvice Lakes National Park

If you are looking for a few places to visit and photograph in your lifetime, Plitvice Lakes National Park in central Croatia should be on your bucket list. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Plitvice Lakes boasts 16 turquoise lakes inter-connected with hundreds of waterfalls and spectacular karst formations. I will be leading a photography tour to Croatia in the autumn of 2017 (from October 2nd to 14th). The photo tour is scheduled to coincide with the arrival of fall colours at over 29,000 hectares of mixed hardwood forests that surround the lake system. If you are interested in a thirteen-day adventure tour of world heritage sites and natural splendour of southern Europe, visit the Croatia Photography Tour information page. We will roam the cobblestone streets cloaked in history and experience the “Mediterranean as it once was”. You will have an opportunity to photograph majestic medieval castles, ancient Roman palaces, the charming coastal town of Rovinj, and the “Pearl of the Adriatic” – the walled city of Dubrovnik. We will visit six out of seven UNECSO World Heritage sites present in Croatia. Discover new places, exercise your creative side and capture memorable images in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We look forward the welcome you on our next journey!...

Autumn in Prince Albert National Park

Autumn in Prince Albert National Park

At the end of September I led a photography tour to Prince Albert National Park in northern Saskatchewan. We were fortunate this year to be in the park right at the time when leaf colours were starting to change into the full glory of autumn colours. The weather was also very cooperative; early in the weekend we had some interesting clouds for late afternoon and sunset photography. Saturday was overcast which allowed us to spend more time inside the woods and focus on colour patterns and details on the forest floor. It cleared overnight and on Sunday morning we enjoyed photographing gentle fog rolling over the Waskesiu Lake. Later on that day, we were able to capture various shades of yellow and red against a clear blue sky. Here are a few images captured in Prince Albert National Park that weekend. I would like to thank the photo tour participants for their friendship, laughter and great discussion.
